I usually take a few things from goldenwolf style...My only problem is the neck length ¬¬'
Just learn human and wolf anatomy and try to mix 'em xD

The problem isn't learning anatomy...(at least not the main one)
It's mixing it with a wolf's...I've had a hard time with that >.<
A few simple tutorials may be found in Maglot's site, many useful stuff there : http://www.maglot.com

What I do is layout the character in my mind then put out in a rough draft. Then I add the extras.

But the only problem with this is the detail of where every thing is.

I think I just suck at drawing werewolves. This site has a good tutorial, but I don't think it's helping me.... or maybe I just haven't drawn many werewolves yet...

I'm not a very good drawer, but the only technique that worked with me is copying other artists works (only for practice ^^) Dunno, I noticed that it improves a few things :)

I try to stray from copying due to doing so too much seems to have me develope a need to draw 2nd hand and not by freehand. I used to copy for practice, and it's gotten me this far... maybe I should take a step back and practice a bit.

It's not copying only one artist style. I usually copy and practice what I learned to develop a style of my own...

You're wrong. Any artist , no matter how have grown copying something to begin with. If you need to practice and get better drawing you need to have some basics gained from what?...from other artist influence. In my mind I have a lot or artists that pushed me to draw because of their amazing skills...I started copying some of its characters and then I just copied some poses ...and so I started to develope my own style and my own characters. You can look out for real refference too and so you'll probably will start mixing diferent concepts in your mind throughe xperience, about what you see and what you have seen and what you want to achieve. All that make you grow in skills.

I stoped copying about 6 years ago, but I always look for mangas and comic just to get an inspiration and new ideas and get going. And so you can never stop learning from others and from yourself at same time. :icon_wolf_paint:

I don't udnerstand how you got pissed off so easily. And obviously YOU CARE what others can say or you wouldn't be posting in the forum or making threads asking for chat.
And yo're already know what are you getting with this, do you?...

Zen's tip for the day: If you don't like/don't care about what other people say, don't post your thoughts on the internet. Chances are, if you don't care what we have to say, we don't care about what you have to say.

Moving along, Leo was talking about how all artists start defining their own style by copying another. Along the way, they make little tweaks and changes until all semblances of what they copied are gone. I do the same thing with the various writings I do. I used to copy other people's styles and phrasings, now, I've tweaked it to the point where you won't see anyone elses words coming from me.

As for the actual tutorial here, I was checking it out for a friend who was looking for some reference to draw werewolves...it seems a bit...how to put this...goofy looking. I mean...it's entirely too cartoon-ey. That same head could've sat on Wile-y Coyote's shoulders, and no one would've known the difference.

If you didn't get my last message. That was a warning to not continue with that behaviour.

You'have been suspended for 30 days. Because of your harm responses avoiding any respect between others in the forum. This place isn't for you to find your own group of friend and pushing to the sides the one you dont like you with curses. This is a forum, and if you can't share in a good manner you dont belong here.

Byes.

Let's try to go back in topic.

Copying is alright, so long you don't copy other artists pics...But it's good to learn a few things and develop 'em later ^^

So long as it's not stealing their artwork. But yeah that is how you develop a style. I try to freehand stuff too much.

I have yet to work on that....
