For those of you guys who make your own comics and stuff, do you usually plan out your whole series before making it, or do you make up a plot as you go along? I try to plan out little by little, but I never write it down. I seem to, more or less, develop a plot as I go along. What do you guys usually do?

im an webcomic maker as such but i think some planning of the scripts is good,
but ive seen comics that oftern make it up as they go or dont actually follow anything that resembles a 'plot' .... i say think about your comic and when do u plan the regular updates and what really suits you

me i write down chapters and see how they fair though i oftern get the urge to alter it here and there plus it can be fun if you inject off the plot adventure it can lengthen the whole thing

I do 75-90% of the plots planned out before hand.

Crap.... Don't get me wrong; I plan out my plot beforehand, but I just don't like to write it down. It's one of those time-eating things to me. Well, I guess whatever works, eh?

Yeah whatever works best for you is what you should go for. I personally like to have it writen out before hand so I can fix awkward diolog or adjust certain scenes while I'm going through the drawing part.

It's up to you..., if you have a clear vision of what is going to happen in each scene...go for it. But probably you'll realize later that you could have come with better dialogues or better scenes if you could have wrote them before. :thpt:

You don't have to make a full script of the whole series if you don't feel up to, but for some key scenes you should consider try different points of view with dialogues and scene writing them down.

I usually have a clear vision and seem to me lucky enough to actually have dreams about the comic . LoL! I have, however, come up with 3 different versions of this comic that have not been submitted online. I sucked at drawing and at dialogue, but one turned out a bit like yours, Leo, 3 years ago. That's why I find this current comic of yours, Alpha Luna, very interesting. It's pretty awesome! The one like yours was about a high school girl in her senior year who started to realize that there was indeed something different about her. Her 2 friends (Pretty much like in my current comic) start realizing this and keep an eye on her. The main character's mother appears on the news while the girl is at home and is said to be brutally murdered, and then a vampire breaks in, the girl gets pissed, rips out his throat, then transforms and kills him. That was the old version of my Lunatic Chaos comic. I'm trying to see how this one will do. So far so good, but I wonder how long this will last and/or how long will it take me to finish it. ....oh well... I'll try out the different points of view idea. :D Thx!
