It's a comic book series published by vertigo comic. It i written by Neil Gaimen. Basically there are the 7 Endless. They are things that will be around as long as the universe exsists. They're Destiny, Death, Dream, Desire, Dispair, and Delirium. The series Sandman focuses on the Endless Dream who is in the picture above. There are ten books that collect the whole series and a handful of books that are stand alone but deal with the endless. It you can find them I highly recommend reading them. Epecailly, if your someone that thinks American comics are all superheros running around in tights.

Edit: Silly me I forgot an Endless. the seventh is Destruction.

I love the Sandman series; unfortunately, I'm unwilling to spend the money for the complete volumes, so I've only read two from a public library. Still, I'm a fan of Neil Gaiman's work, and that's one great drawing. Doesn't quite capture the same spirit, but evokes similar emotions.

Thats a nice pictrure. Splendid. It would be better if there was a darker tone, though.
