"Trudging through the carcass of what used to be a living world,
Ten-thousand lovers of God's forgotten child.
We take our mark while on bent and bloody knees,
Not saved alone but together we are exiled"
"Why do I cry tears of blood,
While lying here in the mud,
Mabye because I saw a black dove,
Or mabye because you arent here...my love"

Elder Vigil;
I hope this missive is not out of bounds, since we have yet to meet elsewhere in the Forums. I'm Quiet Mountain, but I go by 'Cliff' or Frostbite (hence my username). I suspect you're one heck of a lot more familiar with Maya than I am, but I'm teaching myself 3D Studio Max & Mudbox, and I'm getting the hang of bonerigging (for those Changekin not familiar with modelling, it's another word for building the 'skeleton' of a model that will define the dimensions of how the final model moves) and have attempted to build lupine and semi-lupine heads in Mudbox.
The thought of an animated Alpha Luna is thoroughly tempting, and I wouldn't at all mind pitching in if I can. You can see some of my more recent work in The Creative Den, including my latest pic of Frostbite inked and coloured for the first time using only my WACOM Intuous tablet.
-Frostbite/Cliff.
I'll keep you in mind, I know a little bit about mudbox, but yes, Maya is another monster entirely. The progress is slow, but it's moving forward. I have found that the mudbox modeling system wouldn't work well for what I need, you need far to many divisions to get the detail in the models and I don't have a rendering room.

No worries there; I've had access to both 3DS Max and Maya in two different generations of the programs (3DS Max 6, and Maya 8.5, respectively) and yeah, they're thoroughly different beasts. On that note, as far as I can do anything with Maya, I certainly defer to your expertise as you do animation and modelling for a living!Maybe someday, for me anyway. In any case, I know Mudbox isn't quite what you need in a graphics manipulator; the main reason I offered it as a thought was because I've gotten moderately good at it (certainly moreso than Max & Maya) for doing heads. Eventually, I'm going to do some custom experiments with digitigrade legs, but functionally that's a while from now, and certainly not directly pertinent to what you're doing.
Just thought I'd pop my muzzle in, regardless of the degree of my familiarity with Maya and Max, I thought it was worth mentioning that I was at all.The best help I can probably offer unless I do some major cramming in learning more of 3DS Max 6 is as a 2D artist or colouring/skinning. Either way, feel free to drop me a line on the subject if it turns out I can be of some service.
Tails high, Elder Vigil!

PS: How do you take your steak, by the way?![]()
Life is an interesting thing, throws you a curve ball every now and again. I'm good and working on the series, but school is starting again, meaning the series will put on the back burner... and I might be able to enlist some help. I have selected a song for the soundtrack and I think you all should listen to it. It's called 'War by The Poets of the Fall', in fact a lot of their music is going to be in the series. I also want to put a thank you out their for Leo, he's done me a favor by drawing some of the characters so I have a base to work off of, THANK YOU LEO!!!! One last thing, I HATE ORGANIC SHAPES!!!!
